Reduce Incomes , Consumables and keep the Minimum Wage.
Start with the Government and all Government Employees from the top down, , Let them start by example, by reducing there wage, lets see if they can live as the average man on the street.
see if they can live on a reduced income like the average Australian Citizen
Make these change's and we could compete with the Overseas Markets. and tell Indonesia to go to hell.
FEW GET TOO MUCH
WORLD MARKET: We have priced ourselves out of the Asian Markets, and people in Australia are battling to make ends meet.
COST OF LIVING We need to reduce the cost of living and increas productivity, and to do this I believe we need to increase Tourist to Australia, and reduce high wages and incomes, this would be a flow on effect, all wages should be reduced. If high incomes came down so would the cost of production and the cost of living for all Australians. we need to compete with Asia.
When Im overseas I hear people saying Australia is a rich Country, they believe everyone is rich, yes a small majority are rich, if they only knew how the average family are battling.
I hear people who visit Australia (tourist and backpackers) saying, the cost of living in Australia is too expensive, compared to other countries, yes we are all battling to pay for the increase in the cost of living.
UNIONS I believe the problems started with Labour, in the days of Unionism when Bob Hawk and Gough Whitlem were in power, Unions fought for higher wages, based on the Mining Industry, and this had a Domino effec, the cost of living increased, and has continues to increasing, this has also priced us out of the world markets especially the Asian markets.
Australia has reduced Manufacturing consumer goods such as the Clothing Industry, because of the demands by Unions put on Employees Manufactures went offshore, as I did, Unions are to blame for most of our problems, especially when Mining took off, higher wages were demand by the Unions this had a flow on effect through all Industries, and small business had to go overseas to survive. Mining Iron Ore has not been good for the average Australians it has only been good for CEOs Governments, and those in high places. I was in Business for twenty five years and employed between ten and fifteen employees, so I have a good Idea how Unions operate, they hounded me for no good reason, and when Super was first introduced I was forced to join the Union Super Fund, talk about Communism.
EXPORTS: If we can get a good price for Iron Ore so be it, then the Mining Companies should contribute to the community. Australia needs to compete on a global level, If the cost in Australia decrease then small business and the Mining Industry can compete with overseas Companies.
TOURISM Increased tourism, this will increase employment and reduce the demand on Centerlink, then every-one has a reasonable income, and the battlers can afford necessary consumables. (I believe it is cheaper to live in USA than Australia) as the Tourism increased so would turnover and turnover means more tax for the government. Its so obvious
If we export two thirds of our food production, we would not need to export so much food as Tourist would consume more food, Tourism would benefit Australia with unbelievable results, then we would not have to Import food we could compete with the imported CRAP FOOD. and all Australians would benefit by having a job.
We should open our doors to China, with there 1.3 Billion people, there are many millions of wealthy people, and they want to get away from the overpopulated Citys, I have been there many times, doing Business with hands on people and this was the message, they were so interested in Australia, I phoned and spoke to the Tourist Department in Perth, fifteen years ago, the person i spoke to was so negative when I suggested we should encourage chinese Tourist. thats Governments for you.
HOUSING is too expensive, If the cost to build them was cut, everyone could afford a Home.
TO FINISH OFF: do away with capital gains tax on the second home, this would increase investment in Housing and we would not have a housing shortage.
I believe PAUL KEETING Introduced capital gains on a second home in its present form. the worst TAX that was ever forced on to Australian Citizens. This is why we have a housing shortage today.

CARBON, CHINA - AUSTRALIA
By increasing Productivity in Australia, this will reduce Imports, and the less we import from China this will reduce carbon to the atmosphere, because Chinas Carbon output is far greater than Australia, so if China reduce their productivity the less carbon in the atmosphere. This is one way Australia can help to reduce carbon to the atmosphere, without a carbon tax.
