Bushfire assist
I would like to bring to your attention what i believe could be beneficial to fire safty.
The bushfires in Victoria as seen on National TV is a horrific and tragic loss of life and property, we should all look at this as a lesson that should never happen again in the future, this i believe a almost impossible task with the change in climate.
What could have been and can be is legislating into our Building Codes, a fireproof room built onto every home. This can be achieved very simply and not add extra cost to the building.
I have a Patent Formwork that is unbelievably simple to build a Dome shelter or room that is fireproof, if incorporated into the building of a new home, it would be cheaper to build than a conventional room.
These Dome shelters could be built on every Farm, and used as a workshop, farm workers living quarters or storeroom and used as backup afe rooms in-case of a fire. Built from reinforced concrete they are also Tornado proof.
Should you have an interest in this concept I would be more than happy to talk to you about the Formwork, and what i believe would be of great benefits to our community, I would be pleased to have it passed on to any interested Government Body or Corporation.
I received a reply on 12th March 2009, and this is a copy of there letter.
