DRINK ALCOHOL and DRIVING is a major concern by some Authority’s as they say it impairs our Driving ability, and endangers other drivers
Yes I believe this to be true, and just a couple of drinks, can make you tired and sleepy.
I would like to share an experience with you about a time when I had to Drive Home after spending weekends at the Country Field days, my Business was supplying the Shearing Industry with clothing I Manufactured, this industry held Shearing Competitions in Towns throughout Australia. Going there was no problem, but the drive home was difficult, as when the Competition was over most of the Competitors would end up at the local Pub, including myself to be sociable, I would limit myself to two drinks if I had to drive, driving home would take several hours, most trips not arriveing Home before 12 Midnight.
I would get very tired and almost fall to sleep, I decided drinking alcohol was the cause of my getting tired, the next field day Shearing Competition when it was finished I did not drink alcohol, just Soft Drinks, this did not fix the problem I was just as sleepy, My Sister who believes in Natural health said the SUGAR in the soft drinks is making me tired, I believed her as I had given up eating SUGAR many years before, because it gave me pains in my stomach and many other problems, not drinking soft drinks while driving, from this time on I could drive all night without getting tired, this was a great discovery for me.
My message is all those Drivers like Truck drivers and people who drive long distances, they would not have a clue as to what the SOFT DRINKS loaded with sugar is doing to their driving ability, and contributing to the accidents on our roads, its not just Alcohol that causes accidents.
What would the Authorities the Police or the general Public know how bad sugar is, I believe it is as bad as Alcohol when it comes down to Drink Driving.
