My Driving experience

Looking at our road toll and the most blame is on the driver, i dont believe this should be the case, as i young driver my self i drove many thousands of miles, one year 40,000 in my FJ Holden, i believe what help me get through most of my driving days was experience, but experience only comes with Miles.

For several years i drove and boasted no one would pass me, this was achieved by replacing the Grey Motor with a 179 Motor, and replacing the front coil springs with heavy duty springs and adding a stabilizer bar to the front suspension, combined with my driving ability.

I believe the Cars of today are not built for speed, and the suspension is too soft when the vehicle gets into a corner, the vehicles of today roll too much, and are built for comfort, not for safe driving, I could drive my FJ Holden around bends with the tire's screaming with traction, as i drove around sharp bends on a open country road.
Remembering one of my trips in South Australia, driving normally from Murray Bridge to Adelaide on the Old road, with many bends, this was at night and lights came up behind me they were close together, it was either two motorbikes or a Jaguar, it was a Jag, so i put my foot down, the jag kept up with me until we came to the bends in the road. i would put my foot down and drove that Car around the bends at a unbelievable speed, the tires were screaming, the FJ was so stable on the road, it never looked like leaving the road, the driver of the Jag could not keep up with me and i lost him.
